At the start of the final day of the season in Ligue 2, France's second division of football, Amiens SC needed a win and some help in order to gain a promotion to Ligue 1, the country's top level of soccer. They got exactly what they needed in the most dramatic way possible.
In the final minute of stoppage time, Emmanuel Bourgaud netted a go-ahead goal on what turned out to be the final kick of the season, giving Amiens a 2-1 win over Reims.
The goal moved Amiens from sixth to a tie for second in the league table. Their goal differential earned them a tie-breaker and an automatic spot in Ligue 1 for the 2017-18 season.
Needless to say, the announcer lost his mind. You don't need to understand French to understand what this goal meant.
