I reckon this thread has utterly derailed. I think the OP was hoping to find out what would TURN a man gay, implying that the man was initially straight.

So, the age-old debate of Nature Vs Nurture comes into play where everyone argues with "scientific" evidence; all of which conflicts with each other. This leads onto people just trying to 'win' an argument, not attempt to offer an explanation that the tread is originally about: 'why do men turn gay' (though some much needed grammar has been omitted).

This is very interesting to me. "Straight", "Gay" and "Bi" are labels no doubt, but I think they are labels that can cover a great part of the population. You are saying that all you want from a guy is sex without any sort of emotional attachment involved, and that makes you NOT gay. Is it possible though that with women you can still be only thinking about sex? In other words, can physical attraction alone determine sexuality? My experience is that when someone is young, emotional attachment is easier to develop. As we get older, we get so "insensitive" that we can take sex just as sex. Especially when you have the perception "Gay guys take other guys for who they not for what they can get out of them by running your emotions up and down the lamp post", you are immune to the traps of getting yourself in a hopeless obsession with a straight guy. But when you have gone so far as sucking not one but two or more dicks (a man's or a shemale's, what's the differece?), you can't say you are "straight as an arrow" anymore, which is not a bad thing in my opinion. I am not trying to be argumentative. I'd like to explore/discuss with you on this topic further if possible. Thanks.

Oh Gawd, my mother is a psycho Pentacostal and she thinks all homosexuals and bisexuals are going to hell. I think that is just childish. However, I did hear that Obama had passed a law that now made it illegal for religions to preach against homosexuality. It is now considered a "hate crime" and discrimitive to preach that homosexuals are "going to hell" for being homosexual. While I am disturbed that a country that was supposedly built on religious tolerance can have such a law passed, I am also happy in a way that we are trying to teach tolerance for other people and their differences.

Now, as to why someone might start engaging in homosexual activity, the reasons could be curiosity, lack of available heterosexual activity, or finally admitting the truth about what they want.
